As you can see from the pictures, we’ve made a dramatic transformation to the rear of this 140 year old terraced house, in Greenfield.
We removed a solid wall, stripped the fireplace back to its original form, including forming a new arch at a more suitable height. We also fitted a new window after we raised the cill to accommodate the height of the new units. We also re-layed the York stone flags to the original kitchen floor, they were an inch higher than the floorboards, this allowed us to cover where the original wall was. New heating, lighting and a complete re-plaster. The back of the fireplace should be tiled very soon.
